Mini Golf Video Games - Carnival Games: Mini Golf (Wii)

If you cant play mini golf for real then there are numerous pc and console games out there. A look at any video games store or website will quickly reveal that there are truckloads of video game adaptations of many different sports and sport-like hobbies. Carnival Games: Mini Golf if probably the best miniature golf game right now.

Basketball, hockey, baseball, etc - name it and you'll surely find a video game that adapts it. Now, if you're looking a video game adaptation of the sport that the whole family can enjoy - mini golf, then you definitely have to check out Carnival Games: Mini Golf for Nintedo Wii.

The Good? What's nice about Carnival Games: Mini Golf is that the themes are nicely mixed up. You'll find the usual mini-golf courses like fairy tales, medieval knights, haunted houses, and a lot more. No matter what mini-golf theme you're looking for, you're sure to find one that suites your taste.

Tricky and challenging holes require you to come up with a creative idea or trick, say like triggering an explosion or forcing the ball to bounce, to get a hole in one. There are a lot of challenging holes for you to take on this game. And you need a good combination of luck and skill if you want to move on to the next level.

The Bad? Now this mini golf game for Wii is not without any shortcomings. First and foremost, the design (and just about everything) seems bargain-priced and bargain-quality. To make things worse, the Wii controls are usually unresponsive and the short movements you make with the console aren't registered on screen.

Another big minus in my opinion is the number of holes and hole-design itself. You see, with only 3 holes per course or mini-golf theme, it's easy for one to get bored with the game even with all of the arcade gimmicks that came with it.

The game modes are also very limited. You can play as a solo player, one-on-one with the mini-golf host, or even against other 3 players on Wii but game modes like tournament matches are nowhere to be found!
